Kate Upton’s wild celebration to crushing Yankees play
No one was more excited about the Astros surviving Game 2 of the ALCS than Justin Verlander’s wife, Kate Upton.
With Houston and the Yankees tied at 2-2 in the sixth inning, shortstop Carlos Correa threw home to get Yankees second baseman DJ LeMaheiu out, keeping the score even with Verlander on the mound.
Cameras panned to an ecstatic Upton, who was cheering excitedly in the stands.
This isn’t the first time Upton has shown her team spirit in the postseason. Ahead of Game 5 of the ALDS versus the Tampa Bay Rays, the 27-year-old model and Amy Cole, wife of fellow Astros ace Gerrit Cole, mimicked their spouses’ Sports Illustrated cover.
“It’s a Ver-y Cole world Upton here! #GoAstros #Game5,” Upton captioned the snap on Instagram.
The ALCS shifts to the Bronx on Tuesday with the Yankees and Astros even at 1-1.
Honestly, I just want to be as excited as Kate Upton at a Stros game. pic.twitter.com/jnA37aMCD3
