Wildwood Casino talks plans following approval of Prop DD to legalize sports gambling
Though voters hardly approved the legalization of sports gambling in the state of Colorado on Tuesday, but still, starting 2020, sports betting would be allowed in casinos located in Central City, Cripple Creek and Black Hawk.
The staff of Wildwood Casino located at Cripple Creek informed News 5 that there are still many things unresolved with regards to regulations as well as when exactly the casinos could go live. However, the only thing which is certain for now is that competition along with the other gaming spaces in the US is sure going to intensify soon.
Matt Andrighetti, the General Manager of Wildwood Casino, said that the passing of the Proposition DD is something which will prove to be great for the state.
The approval of Prop DD will initiate a new chapter for the gambling industry of Colorado.
Andrighetti said that the regular customers of the casino have been waiting for the opportunity of sports gambling in Colorado since long. Currently, they travel to Las Vegas or other places where sports gambling is legalized, Andrighetti added.
Wildwood Casino is expecting more of customers as sports gambling takes off soon. The casino is looking at various vendors for collaborations. In fact, it is also considering fantasy sports as an option as well. However, what sports would be available for betting is yet to be determined.
